9U All-Stars Hold on for the Win

LGLL 9U All-Stars jumped out early and held on despite a ferocious rally from Branham Hills in the 6th to win 12-11. LG scored 5 in the 1st with RBIs from Charlie Nielsen and Barrett Laubach. Branham Hills answered with 3 runs in the third, but LG hit right back with 5 runs, extending their lead to 10-3 with RBIs from Nielsen, Logan Williams, Zach Youkilis, and Mickey Denevi. LG took a 7 run lead into the 6th, but after a few walks and a few scattered hits, the lead was cut to three runs. Down three, with two outs and the bases loaded, Branham Hills singled, scoring the runners on second and third, runner from first keeps running but is tagged out sliding into home. LGLL holds on and is now 3-0 with one game remaining in pool play.
