LG Offense Continues to Roll in 13-0 Victory over Land Park Pacific Little League

Los Gatos is one game closer to the NorCal state championship with an impressive victory over Land Park Pacific (S4, D7) 13-0 on Tuesday. Los Gatos tallied 12 hits and 9 total RBIs. Brixton Mentz-Bonnefield and Skyler Levine led Los Gatos with three hits each and 4 and 3 RBIs respectively.

Los Gatos wasted no time getting the offense started as Ryan Carlisle led the game off with a single and scored on Mentz-Bonnefield’s triple. Skyler Levine then drove in Mentz-Bonnefield on his double and found his way home on a TJ Lombardi SIngle. Just like that LG took a 3-0 lead and never looked back.

Los Gatos put the game away for good when they scored six runs in the third inning. The big inning was thanks to singles by Mentz-Bonnefield, Levine, and McNeil as well as a walk by Carlisle.

Land Park Pacific was never able to get their offense going due to Carlisle’s effort on the mount. He gave up zero runs on two hits over three and a third innings, striking out five and walking zero.

Los Gatos saw the ball well today, racking up 12 hits in the game. Levine, Mentz-Bonnefield, and Lombardi each racked up multiple hits. Mento-Bonnefield and Levine both had three hits to lead Los Gatos.

The LG 11u’s will take on Rincon Valley LL Wednesday night in Turlock for a chance to advance to the championship against Danville on Thursday.
