Snack Shack

Greetings from the Snack Shacks!

The Snack Shacks at Balzer, Baggerly & Fisher Fields are a critical part of LGLL, both financially (yes, they are money makers) and from a player morale perspective (the kids love the Snack Shack).  Because the Snack Shack provides an important source of revenue to help offset operating expenses, such as field maintenance and equipment, the goal is to always have coverage so the Snack Shacks remain open for business for all scheduled games.

It is the League’s goal to limit Snack Shack volunteer requirements to two shifts per player, so everyone’s help will be needed.  Working in the Snack Shack is a great way for parents to meet each other.  However, please note that volunteering is to be done by ballplayer parents only.  For safety and security reasons adults outside the immediate family may not work a parent’s shift to fulfill the family’s volunteer obligation.  Under certain conditions teenager 12 and older can assist while there is an adult working.  Teenage volunteer shifts need to be approved by the Concessions Director prior to sign up

PRE-SEASON SNACK SHACK TICKET SALES:  The League encourages strong participation in Snack Shack pre-season ticket sales.  Tickets are $1 each and are now available to purchase all at once for the entire baseball season.  We recommend that each team purchase the equivalent of 2 tickets per player per game (a total of $400-$500 worth of tickets per team).  Pre-sales help the League financially, as it ensures a strong income from all Snack Shacks, which then gets funneled into field and equipment maintenance, practice field improvements, and other League activities.
