Tournament Team
Eligibility Requirements - 2009
All tournament team candidates must meet EACH of the following
eligibility criteria or they may not be allowed to participate on an LGLL
Tournament Team.
Participation Requirement
Each player selected for a tournament
team MUST attend ALL scheduled games in the District Tournament and AT LEAST 75% of the team's practices.
Any child who is selected for a Tournament Team, but who does not meet the
participation requirement, will, without exception, immediately be removed from his/her Tournament
Team. Fees will not be refunded. In 2008, the time commitment
for each team was as printed in the following table. Expect the commitment
in 2009 to be very similar.

Note: The winner of all the District age-group tournaments (with the exception of the
8/9-year-old tournament) advances to a Sectional tournament and the winner there
advances to the Division tournament. This is the last tournament for all
but Majors. The Majors Divisional champion advances to Regionals, and the
winner of the Regional tournament earns a place in the Little League World
Series.
Original Birth Certificate
Little League mandates that each player
on a tournament team provide proof of his or her birthdate. Little League will
only accept an ORIGINAL "Certificate
of Live Birth".

Proof of Residence
Each player must provide documents proving
that he or she resides within the boundaries of Los Gatos Little League.

Medical Release
Each Tournament Team Manager must have a
signed Medical Release for each player on his team.

Snack Shack Obligation
Each family of a Tournament Team player is required
to work 1 shift (approximately 2 1/2 hours) of Snack Shack duty should LGLL host
one of the District Tournaments. Parents may purchase a $50 "buyout" of this obligation.
Participation Fee and Uniform Deposit
Each tournament team player will need
provide the following:
