2009 LGLL Registration Requirements

As a registration requirement, the family of each LGLL player is responsible for 1) the player's registration fees and 2) meeting the league's volunteer requirement.

LGLL uses Registration Fees to fund uniform and equipment purchases, field use and maintenance, clinics, pictures, and Little League Day festivities.  Registration Fees also include our San Jose Giants fundraiser, through which each player receives 6 tickets for the San Jose Giants game on our League sponsored day. In addition to Registration Fees, the family of each player is responsible for donating 6 hours of volunteer time in one of the following areas:

• Concessions  (Snack Shack, BBQ, or special events);
• Scorekeeping (games at the AA through Majors level);
• Umpiring (games at the AA through Majors level);
• Fields & Facilities (maintenance or game preparation).

During On-line Registration, parents may elect to "buy out" of this obligation for a $200 contribution to the league.

The total registration requirement is determined by a child's Little League Age (see Age Matrix).  The following table details the 2009 season's registration obligation:

* Registration fees are subject to a $400 maximum per family.  An additional $25 late fee will be assessed for players completing their On-Line registration after December 11, 2008. The late fee is NOT subject to the $400 per family maximum.

** The cost of the Volunteer Buyout increases to $300 per player after teams are formed.  Parents who do not fulfill their volunteer commitment, will be required to pay the appropriate buyout(s) or their child(ren) will not be allowed to re-register for LGLL.  There is no family limit on the cost of Volunteer Buyouts.

We're using an on-line registration system that accepts credit cards so that we can eliminate in-person registration for returning families. You will be charged an additional 2.65% convenience fee to offset a portion of the cost of accepting electronic payment.

Refund Policy
In the event a registered player decides not to play in LGLL, we will make refunds according to the following schedules:

Player withdraws...	Amount of  Registration Fee and Volunteer Buyout Refunded
Prior to 12/19/08	100% less $15 processing fee
Prior to teams being formed	70%
After teams are formed	0% (No Refund)

The LGLL Board of Directors will consider refunds on a case-by-case basis for players who withdraw due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., moving, injury).  Parents must submit written requests for refunds and all refunds will be processed by the end of the season.
